Engine not responsive, check system and VSC are lit after replacing fusible link
Hi, Experts...
Seems I have been missing some luck in the recent weeks - my two years old battery died, but since I am now in Europe, original Lexus US warranty is not valid.
By jump start, a guy placed the cables wrongly and blew the 150A alternator fuse.
The fusible link here is about 175 USD, but I was able to purchase it for 60 USD from Japan and replace it on my own (what a painful process, if somebody needs help - just contact me!).
One 30A and two 10A fuses were also blown, replaced and now seems that all fuses are OK - I checked in the engine compartment as well as in both driver and passenger boxes.
Now, check system and VSC lamps are lit but also the car barely response to the gas pedal. It can rev up to ~2000 revs, but not more. I was able to drive it, the transmission shifts to the second gear, but that is all.
I read here that there was also a throttle sensor fuse, but I couldn't find it. No idea what to check next! Any help?
Thanks,
Milan

I'm not sure if the fuse is the same location on all 2IS. Hope it helps some.

I borrowed from a friend an OBD-2 device which reads the fail codes from the ECU. My code is P2118 - Throttle Actuator Control Motor Current Range/Performance, as expected. Where to find that bloody fuse!?

Can you post some pictures of what you have? Did you check the car manual for the fuse location? I'm sure it should have the locations of the fuses. There are 2 fuse boxes in the cabin 1 on the driver side & passenger side. Maybe that's were it got moved to.

Manual is also not mentioning this fuse. Here you can see, page 437

The photo you posted is showing the cover for the fuse box next to the car battery? The one you need to look at is under the right engine panel. Remove it you will see it. Behind the washer fluid fill neck.
