2008 IS 350 recently hit 150k miles... Anything I should be wary of?
I'm replacing all 4 struts/shocks, I had the transmission oil changed recently when it threw a code (havent seen a code in a year since). Replacing all brakes/rotors. the AFS light comes on occasionally, but other than that nothing seems to be wrong.
I had a lexus dealer run their 100 point (or whatever) inspection, and they found nothing wrong. Is there anything I should be checking out or looking for to break soon that is common with these cars? It's burning about .5 to 1 quart of oil every few months, not too bad so far.
Thanks!

Cool, I did all the recalls. What do you mean by extended warranty? Is something supposed to break on those parts?
How do I tell if there's carbon build up occurring?
Thanks!

If you are the original owner, Lexus sent out a notification about an extended warranty for the dash and door trims, since they tend to get sticky and crack. They are replacing them for free if your car qualifies. You have to take the car to the dealership for them to inspect the dash and doors. As for the carbon buildup, I don't think the is 350 is affected as much as the 250.

Unlike the IS250, which has only direct injection, the IS350 also has port fuel injection. This gives detergents in the gasoline an opportunity to clean the valves, valve seats, etc. as the car is driven, preventing carbon buildup.
