Hi Guys,
I had posted on here before when i purchased my IS250 Rear diffuser which i purchased from Ebay. The diffuser arrived with no box or packaging just wrapped up in a bin bag. The actual diffuser cost $110 AUD + $100 shipping cost. On first looks it looked great but when i had taken the diffuser to a well known panel and paint shop they said its a load of crap and it doesn't fit the car at all and you need to send it back. When i contacted the seller they told me i must send photos first and then believe it or not they said " LEAVE IT IN THE SUN FOR 30MINS AND IT WILL BEND". When i read the sellers reply i laughed and thought well if it melts in the sun what is stopping it from warping out of shape while on the car? So i had decided to call an actual body kit shop called " THE SPOILER SHOP" who are located in Perth, Western Australia. I had left the diffuser with him and he also agreed that the its bent out of shape and some areas are thicker than others. I was starting to believe i really had no choice but to scrap the thing. But i left it with Greg the owner of The Spoiler Shop for 2 weeks while he played around with it. He told the plastics that make up this thing are really bad and have lots of oils in them so when you try to paint on it or prime it there may be air bubbles and fish eyes all over it. So with out fail this is exactly what happened so Greg had to sand the whole thing back again and try again. With a few attempts we finally had a diffuser prepped and painted. Greg then had to keep the car for a few days and clamp the diffuser to the body use a heat gun and hope that the diffuser would flex. As the diffuser arrived complete dead straight. The centre part of the diffuser was made one side longer than the other. So the clamps had to stay on the car over night. Anyways here are some photos of the diffuser when it arrived and on the car. Here is the link of the seller " i suggest you guys don't buy from". Due the very poor shipping conditions the diffuser bent out of shape and for people over we are paying hundreds for shipping costs. In the end a big shout out to "The Spoiler shop" and Greg who spend day weeks and days working on this ***** of a thing. In the End result Anyone in Perth, W.A Greg is high recommended. =) p.s I realise you get what you pay for i am just writing this so other who intend on buying know what their up for.

Thats we had to do. But it's not as simple if the middle of the diffuser is shorter than others in some parts and it arrived bent in 3 parts. When they originally made the mold for this they didn't make is straight or use enough plastic to get it even.

Remember, every single aftermarket won't fit 100%, 99% of bodykit+spoiler+lip etc need to heat up and bend to fit your car, most of guys in Detailing mechanic shop only know how to do Oil Change and Brake Job, some of them don't know whats PCV does !

OP.. Plastic parts "DO" often need to be left in the sun or similar to return to their moulded shape. They take up a set when transported, stored etc. Normal practice.
