Default Calling all body shop guys. Opinions needed.

Hey all. So I am planning on swapping the front end of my 2008 to a 2012 f sport front end and I was just curious as to what kind of luck you all have had with aftermarket vs OEM body parts as far as fitment. Im really just trying to save some money but if the aftermarket parts fit really poorly then I wouldn't want to go that route.

I should mention I work at a Toyota dealership so I can get good prices on OEM and I also get pretty good prices on aftermarket vendors also.

If you get a discount on oem pieces its not even close

Why wouldnt you get oem and guarantee fitment vs hoping

I would have to agree with the above statement^^^
But if the aftermarket part your looking into is branded and gives you some confidence in buying I'd go for it, but like all aftermarket parts, it'll need some massaging to get it looking right.

Typically after market pieces require a lot of work (a huge head ache). By the time your done it will end up costing more than O.E.M and the fit will never be as good.

Not only that, the OEM bumper parts aren't that expensive compared to the older cars.
