Unhappy VSC error

Hi guys.
I own lexus is 220 06

Im searching for help. couple months ago, i had vsc error, and creepy noise, like alarm, but constant and really loud, outside much louder than inside in car. car was trying to start over, but couldnt, and this error apeared.

I turned car off, and started again, all went well, no noise, but still VSC error, check engine light and that drifting yellow car (dont know how its in english ;D)
and it dissapeared by itself after couple of hours.

Then i had this annoying loud noise couple of times when starting car, without error, but car wouldnt start (it was trying to start, but couldnt) and couple of times this noise while driving, like 1second noise, car is turning engine off, then it gets power again after sound goes away and goes well, then again noise and car engine stops. After that when i pulled ower, and started car again all went well.

Any ideas what might cause this?
I know u will say about dealershop, but i have lost my job recently and $$ is a problem for a while.

Also, i want to apoligize for my english, it isnt my native.

It could be a carbon buildup in your car, which is common for IS250s (not sure about 220). Those lights you are seeing are related to the engine, the traction, and possibly the brakes. Could be the battery or the alternator, maybe spark plugs? I never had these issues, nor am I a mechanic, but those are the only obvious things I can think of. It might help if you state how many miles you have on your car.

VSC and drifting car is Vehicle Stability Control. As it's unlikely you have an issue with that, this is an error code that is thrown on your dash for a variety of issues. Search the forum for 'check VSC' and you will find lots, like this> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...50-2007-a.html

That being said, i've had this be thrown after i forgot to connect my MAF sensor again after cleaning our my FSport air filter - at times it will clear itself. It can also be thrown for other 'air' related issues, like possibly an O2 sensor being out of operating range. Like most threads will tell you here and so will I, you need to pull the trouble code from the ODBII to know for sure, unless you did something like leave the MAF unplugged when starting the car as I have once before.

Pull the code - you can get a cheap ELM reader for your phone, or probably go to a local parts store - Partsource up here let's you scan for free - and see if it's something serious or not. From what you describe it could be carbon build up, could be incorrect readings coming from MAF or O2, or could be some issues with throttle position sensor. I would get it checked as soon as possible. Carbon build up misfires can be really really bad and potentially major repairs if not addressed. Lexus has a campaign on them, and usually extend the powertrain warranty up to 9 Years. I just had my carbon campaign done after about 260K (I run synthetic oil so it's less prone to baking on the exhaust valves). Campaigns may vary based on where you live. Good luck!

Just a heads up: the original poster lives in Latvia and has an IS220d, which is a DIESEL. The advice to start by reading the diagnostic trouble codes is spot on, however.
