Just recently I changed the stock springs to Swift springs. To my biggest surprise the car finally became enjoyable and comfortable to drive. It was the best upgrade regarding the ride comfort, and guess what....the roof rattle is GONE too!!!

This tells me the stiff stock springs mainly contribute to dash squeaks and roof rattle.
i can agree with you, i didnt have the rattle till i installed my coilovers. its not that bad but i noticed it as i go over some bumpy roads.

I have the same problem ever since I have owned my car for the last 20 months.

At first I thought it was the passenger door panel or something wrong with the passenger door area. Then someone in my back seat told me it sounded like it was coming from the sun roof. It is hard to hear where it is exactly coming from when you are driving.

Sure enough when I closed the sunroof inner liner the noise got dampened 80% so it was the sunroof.

Not to try to fix it.

So it's winter again and the rattles are back. This time I did a lot of poking around and found that the reason the glass can be pushed up a little bit is because the plastic arm/mechanism that pushes and slides the glass is loose; so it allows for a little bit of movement. To get a complete idea of what's going on, I need to take the glass off. Since I don't use the sunroof at all, I just wedge a piece of semi-soft plastic to keep it from rattling and remove the fuse b

I'm in for more info on this. Anybody else find a solution. Feels like something is loose up there.

I also get the cold weather rattle. Sunroof can push up on each corner about 1/16th. I opened the roof put a thin piece of rubber to see if it wouldn’t move and it didn’t. I removed the rubber then the sunroof would open every time I tried to close it. Held the **** down for 10 sec and it closed. Haven’t had the rattle since. It’s been a few weeks. Going to be about 20 deg this weekend so we will see.

I'm getting a noise. more like two pieces rubbing together. I push up on my headliner behind my sunroof and it goes away.

Default Cardboard fix

I ended up putting rolled up cardboard between back of sunroof and headliner. Creeking gone but of course not very pretty. Hope to find a better way when I have more time. Not being pretty is better than going Nuts listening to it..
