Default What size tires are you running?

I'm trying to see what I can fit in the front without a rubbing issue.

I have the 18" option wheels, currently 215s on the front when it should be 225 oem spec. I bought the car with 215s on and had to replace one at a time so I decided to just stick to 215. Now I need to replace both and would like to go even bigger than 225.. maybe 235. My car is lowered on Eibach pro springs and I would like it to not rub at all but I still have a big tire gap in the front with the 215s

Are you lowered? what size tires do you have? does it rub? do you think I can size up the front tires?

What are the wheel spec and offset?

I had 225/45/18s with 18x8.0 and ET30. No rubbing. If it go 235 I recon I would rub a little. I got Tenable drop which is 1.1" drop.

I tried 235/40/18 on my F sport. Veeery slight rubbing on half lock with Michelin PS4's on rear of inner splash panel.
I swapped back to 225/40/18.
This was when I 1st picked the car up. After having more time to look into it next time I will do the 235 route and will relieve the plastic inner splash panel with a heat gun plus swap out the top tab screw.
I will also at that time change the rears to 265/40/18 (in lieu of 255/40/18)
This would keep the tyre shape on the rim matching as before.

I run 245/40R17 in the front and have in the past run both 245/40R17 and 245/45R17 in the rear. 17x8 +45mm all around.

I'm one of the weird people like Jeff, I run 17" wheels because I want to.

Right now the car is on 255/40-17 (F) and 275/40-17 (R) Continental Extreme Contact Sports. I've also run 245/40-17 (F) and 245/45-17 (R) Pilot Super Sports, and 265/45-17 (R) Pilot Sport 2s. Wheels are 17x8.5 et 40 (F) and 17x9 et 35 (R).

No rubbing with any of those, stock height.

Becasue of the weak offset, 225/40 and 235/40 will be no problems.

I've found 235/40/18 in front and 265/40/18 in rear to be the perfect size. The rim no longer sticks out. I also have the stock 2009 5 spoke 350z rims. Love my current setup.

Yeah I will go to 235s. I'll post a pic when I get em on. Not sure what I can fit in the back without rolling the fenders. Are you lowered?

I just put on Megan EZII Coilovers on Saturday and since they didn't come with the little tools I've been forced to ride around on what appears to be a 2" drop. I wanted the stock height and before I put the Coilovers on there was never any rubbing. It rubbs only in front now when I go over bumps. I believe the 2009 350z rims are 8.5in wide in the front and 9" wide in the back which I believe is the same as the stock IS250 rims because when I first bought the car I swapped rims but used the tires it came with. I'll take a pic when I get a chance. I don't know why they didn't put this size on our cars to begin with. The tire width is perfect. Also my fenders are not rolled. Everything is stock except the Coilovers and rims/tires.

I'm running 245/30r20 up front and 285/25zr20 in the back. Tabs dealt with, rear fenders rolled and pulled a few mm. Definitely rub and even cut in the front, to be dealt with shortly as mentioned with a heat gun and some love. No issues in the rear whatsoever.

8.0/8.5 unless you're talking about the Rays.

I had these V35s for a while but just this week upgrade to Rays 19s

For looks i'd suggest you source the 19" Rays.
