I need new bulbs and want the same color for the headlights. thinking 6000k? is it a standard measurement or are different companies' colors different?

Different brands will produce different colour temps.. Its at least 6000K thats for sure..

A picture at night might provide a bit more clarity

4000-4500 are usually a warmer white

6000-6500 are usually white to a cold white (slight tinge of blue).

8000-8500 are white with a good tinge of blue.

Anything above 8000 (rare) starts to look purple, 12000 are pretty much purple and look stupid.

The pic is deceiving because you have the halogens on and it makes the headlights look even more blue than they actually are, I'm leaning towards 6000-6500

It's 5500k. White with little hue of yellow

That is not anything lower than 6000K. As someone said different brand or quality will draw you different shades of light. I'd say either poor quality 6000K or 7000K but halogen not HID.
