Well my Techstream was working fine, until I had to use it to program the Key Fob that I recently purchased.

I do not know suddenly it was not working, I have had this since 2014.

Here's what i get, anybody with some knowledge on the Techstream, please chime in. I am running the TS on a 32 bit Windows Vista. Been ok, then it decides to not work...

I have checked on the Adapter and soldered suspected loose connections. I have removed my programs and re-loaded but it still gave me this error. I tried it on my RX and it does the same thing.

Options:

1. Purchase another Techstream, and try to get it working on my Vista (which was my original challenge, cannot remember how I managed to get it working, using it the last 3 years, no issue). In this case anybody recommend a unit that works? Mazon has it for $24.
2. A member in the Atlanta area who has a working Techstream who is willing to help a fellow CL member…truly will appreciate it.
TIA.

I have to try something when I get home. I may have not been following procedure on the use of Techstream, hence I was getting a failure to connect to VIM.

Was watching a few Techstream videos at Utub and saw that you connect to the vehicle while it is not running, just ignition on. Now I do remember this procedure. This could have been the reason why I was getting the fault.

We shall see.

Wish me lucky...

Did you get it to work? Mine came with one key fob also. Would it be worth buying Techstream plus virgin key fob or order a new one from Lexus?
