Default Replaced alternator and car wont crank!

i replaced the alternator, with no problems after breaking down and getting a tow from a gas station. I charge the battery and get in the car and try to start it with my foot on the brake and it does not turn over, however it will go in accessory mode and all lights work, nav turns on and locks work. They key fobs red light flashes and it works to lock and unlock the car. I read on a similiar post about a series of steps to get the car to recognize the key but I followed the steps and it didn't work for me. Ive been at it for 2 hours now and I'm having no luck. Can anyone help me?

I think the most sensible step is to check the battery if it is still good after the alternator went out. Mine killed my battery when it died. The other issue I have read extensively on CL is the fusible link (by the battery) may have fried when the alternator went out... any of the items listed above would prevent you from starting your vehicle.

Fusible link looked good as well as all of the fuses. I'm stuck. All I can think of is the key fob, is it possible for it to lock and unlock my doors but not atart the car?

Possible that the car is flooded? How many time have you've tried to crank it?

Did you check battery grounds? Also are you sure all the alternator connections are secure?

Battery grounds are good, all lights are lighting up bright and as they should, double checked alternator connections and they are good. I have the battery hooked up to a trickle charger now

Does the "Start" button light up green when wanting to start it? Is it in Park?
