Default Good price?

Hi guys,
I don't own an Is but am looking to buy an IS350. Found one in my area. It's being sold by a private seller. It does have 187,000 miles and they want $5996. It looks good but wanted to know if you guys thought this was a good deal or is it too many miles? Thanks in advance

In my opinion its too many miles. Although these cars are known to last thousands of miles (people have posted pics of being 200k+ and running strong). You don't know how well the previous owners took care of the car. Try KBB before hand to get an idea of the market price.

If I was you I would aim for a car under 100k, look for a seller that you know has treasured the car.

When I picked up mine I bought it at 80k from a first owner. This man was a church pastor who had proof of all the maintenance work done in the car. Its an 07 that I bought last year here in SOCAL for 13k.

How does somebody come up with $5996? Are you sure this isnt some Nigerian scammer?

Thanks guys for all the input. I'm going to keep looking for one with lower miles.

Rare color there. At $5k, I'd buy it. But those tan seats. Meh

You may have already made up your mind here, but I just wanted to point out from the looks of the ad, it could be a dealer and not a private seller.
A lot of people just 'flip' cars as a side income.

Check the Carfax and get a thorough pre-purchase inspection. If it passes muster and you really like the car, go for it.
