Japan parts lead time....
For those who have ordered Japanese aftermarket parts from authorized re-sellers, what was the longest time you had to wait before it arrived at your door? Most resellers usually say 30-90 days. Asking because I ordered a an item from Tom's Japan and it's been 6 months. Debating if I should ask for a refund or wait it out because I really want this part.

I would have contacted the company at the 70 day mark to check on my delivery. Def email or call them now to see where it is. Hate to cancel the order and the part was just a few days away from delivery.

I ordered some parts a few years ago. The are a few factors that will determine lead time. If coming by boat, It depends on the size of their container and how close to capacity said container is when your order is placed. If its already close to full your wait time will be decreased dramatically. For me is was 48 days from time of purchase.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I checked with the vendor at the time of order and they said Tom's Japan could make it but it would take 30-90 days. Checked back again at 90 day mark and the vendor said they didn't hear back from Tom's and they would try to source from other places that might have it in stock. Will check again at the 7 month mark and if it hasn't been made or shipped, I'll ask for a refund. I'll be sad if no lip.

msgs350 Mod in Japan. I have nothing against them as parts do EOL. The reason I waited so long is because parts from Japan do take while especially by sea. I tried looking up contact info for Tom's USA but could not find anything. Tom's Japan contact is only via phone. I checked with other vendors and they all said the lip I'm looking for is discontinued by Tom's
