Default Leaking transfer case

Hey, first time poster. I noticed a leak near the rear of my transfer case awd obviously. Does the is250 have it's own gear oil or does it share the engines oil? I'm a broke college student and don't have money to fix it but would like to know where the fill bolt is so I can top it off. And also is this a common problem? It's not a bad leak. Smells and feels like motor oil. Appears to be coming from the drive shaft seal on the back of the case but not 100% sure on that. Please let me know any information you guys have.

Check the owner's manual for the recommended gear oil. DO NOT use motor oil.

My understanding is the the transfer case shares the transmission fluid. I also have and AWD. I've changed the trans fluid a couple of times by drain and fill. I've looked for a plug on the transfer case and didn't see one. Unless I was looking in the wrong spot. I also have changed the differential oils to synthetic. If you do the front one it's easy accessing the fill bolt, by unbolting the steering rack from the cross member. It's a PITA the front on an AWD.
