My high beams will not turn off. When the lights are in auto mode at night or when the light is switched to just on, only my high beams come on. I have had this car for years and I know how to turn them on and off, so it is not an issue with the lever not being inf middle position. My mechanic could not even figure it out.

HELP, I cannot drive at night without a lot of angry drivers!

Do u have a remote starter or any other 12v accessory that's been wired in?? If not, then my only guess is a bad switch.

No added accessories, so I am thinking it is the switch. Now is it possible that both of the low beams went out. The switch is pricey!!

Do you see 4 light outputs or just the high beams? If the lows are working... just removed the bulbs in your high beams as temp fix until you get a new switch

I'm not sure if he had HID lights; if so he'll still be blinding other drivers, even with the high beam bulbs removed. The HID low beam units are bi-xenon and have a shutter that moves to switch between low beam and high beam patterns. In high beam mode, there is no cutoff and the lights will blind other drivers.
