2007 Lexus IS250 Headlight Replacement
Good morning everyone!
I have a 2007 Lexus IS250 with Xenon HID with Auto-Leveling.
My headlights are very oxidized and yellow.
I am looking to replace them. Is there a forum favorite vendor for replacement lights?
Is one type better than the other (HID vs. Halogen vs. LED)?

if your lights are still good and only your lens are yellow and worn, take them to a walmart and they have headlight restoration. $40 for both headlights. Much cheaper than buying aftermarket ones.
Aftermarket headlights dont have auto Leveling and aren't built as good as OEM (condensation issues and such) you're better replacing your bulbs and headlight restore which would cost ~$100 total or buying headlights for $350
theres no better in bulb types. Led only has pure white, hid has multiple colors, halogen is default and mostly warm yellow/white

My headlights were oxidized and yellowed too, so I polished them with rubbing compound which made them shiny again but were still bit yellowish due to the plastic being hit by sun over time. I didn't want to replace them due to cost and OEM is always better, so after the polishing I covered them in light tint smoke which will help protect the plastic and it looks cool.

I think you have two options:
1. Sand and detail them, but YOU MUST put UV Protective sealant or Clear Bra (Protective film). Otherwise they will be yellow again (In my case within a month !).
2. Buy aftermarket headlights, which is the option that I did because I restored my headlights three times without protecting them and even after restoration they emit too weak light.
Good luck.

As others said. If they are just yellow I'd clean them off. Simple DIY that won't cost you more than $20 and leaves them looking much nicer than before. I did this, and while it doesn't look new, it looks much much nicer than before.
Or you could use this as an excuse to get the 2011+ headlights, although they are really expensive.
