Hi All, I have a 2007 is250. When I turn the car on my radio turns on but there is no sound coming from it. When I turn the car on it also makes like a "thump thump" sound. Does anyone know what may be wrong with the radio?

Your amp is dead or wet. Even if you can't see any moister doesn't mean it's not wet inside due to condensation. Try the hair dryer trick. Take the amp out, hair dryer it, put it back in. It worked for mine but died a week later. I'm about to buy a working new one. Search the forum, there are many threads about it. It seems like a common problem.

thanks for the info, I think it is dead because it's been a while. I see you are replacing yours, can you let me know about how much its costing? I hate spending so much on this car, but that's what "luxury" costs. Thanks again.

Well a new one from Lexus is $1200.00. I bought a used one for $120.00 on ebay. I haven't got it yet. Search for part number 86280-53110. They changed the amp from 2011-2013. The plugs are different so it won't fit.
