Headlight adjustment

Headlight adjustment
2009 Lexus is250. Headlight projection isn't good, is there a good way to re-aim them, something I can do at home? We just bought the car from our Nephew and the headlights just don't seem to be very good or well aimed.
Thanks,
Mike

does it have auto leveling?
you can try changing the bulbs to led or hid type to increase brightness
also you can try a headlight restoration, yourself or $40 at Walmart for a pair of headlights.

It's been a while since I adjusted mine. I'm pretty sure I have auto leveling as the headlights go down and up when I start the car. You can still make adjustments. I parked my car about 15 feet from the garage door, put tape on the garage door where they were currently aimed and made adjustments from there. The passenger side should be higher than the driver side so that you do not blind oncoming traffic. It made a huge improvement raising them.

Here is a good thread that might help. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...t-success.html
I too had to adjust my headlights and was a pretty simple process.

lol, yeah, me neither. I was trying to find a picture online and realized a couple of images appeared to be from an owner's manual. That would have made it easier when I did mine!

Just make sure to use the right screwdriver size to adjust. You could easily strip the plastic which rotates, and you could be screwed. When I adjusted mine I noticed the previous owner almost stripped the gear completely.

Without jumping through the upgrading route, I merely adjusted/re aimed the lights "up" and polished out the yellowing lenses.
These two things really helped and we're satisfied with the results.
As far as your 350 question, I don't know, it may have that same "heat issue" upgrading to LED the Lexus Parts Counter told me about.
Good Luck!!
Mike

I know this is an old post but I want to replace my lights with LED lights. I want them bright white. Which ones do you recommend?
