Default F Sport Intake Filter... cleaning + diagnosis

Hello guys, im original owner of a 2012 IS250 RWD i have 132,000km on it and never cleaned the FSport intake filter. is it as easy as flushing it with soapy water and drying?
also I've noticed my intake isn't as loud as it used to be, and i seem to think it lags a bit when i step on the gas as well as fuel consumption isn't great as before. used to be 600-650 a tank compared to 500km a tank now.

i researched a dirty intake filter can be the result of this, thoughts anyone??

doubt that is the problem. could be a number of things like carbon, wear and tear on parts overtime, oil...etc.

some filters are washable and some are not. i do not think OEM filters are washable, especially with water and soap.

just look at your filter, smack it against a wall or floor. its not going to give you a noticeable negative performance unless there is literally dirt caked on and little to no air in going through. just make sure you put it back correctly.

well take a look at the filter, if it was that clogged up it could have had an impact but i don't think 150km worth of impact... you can test this by using a new filter to test your theory. In terms of loudness I think it's just your brain normalizing the loudness since you drive it all the time you're used to it.

Probably isn't the filter and more likely carbon build up. When we got my mom's 2007 Odyssey cleaned and put new valves in, we got about 2 mpg higher combined and the car felt more responsive. Not the same car at all, but could be a possible solution.
