Yes I do. I'm the original owner, it's a 2008 IS350. Got her with only 7 miles on December 5th 2007.

Mate, don't wait for your trans to blow.

I did my trans fluid last week and the difference is huge.

I drained the sump and changed the filter as well, all up approx 4L came out.

I'm going to give it a couple weeks and will re-drain the sump again and re-fill, this way I know majority of the fluid will be changed.

I'm sitting on 85K KM's.

Default Transmission Fluid Change On Higher Mileage Car?

I recently purchased an '06 IS350 with 125K on it (will be posting work done to date). I thought that I had read (here) that changing transmission fluid on one of these with higher mileage was perhaps not the best idea? Have gone through the entire car and specifically did not change tranny fluid due to this.

We also vintage race older cars, and complete fluid change/upgrade is typically the first thing that I do to any street or track car. Could someone more knowledgeable with these Lexus's please weigh in?

Thanks!

Lindy

2 Types of Fluid Exchanges (1) Flushes and (2) Replacement

(1) - Flushes - On high mileage cars, a flush is not recommended because deposits can clog the solenoid channels and valves

(2) Replacement - You simply drain and refill. This is recommended on any car that hasn't had the transmission fluid replaced in a long time. You aren't flushing so the deposits don't get all dislodged.

This is all the general consensus. Replacement is always recommended, especially if you're at 125k.

I need to do mine too, currently at 91k. Sometime during my 100k Service I'll take care of it. There's a great video online with a guy doing it on his GS350, it's the benchmark video to follow when working with Lexus's sealed transmissions if you're into DIY.

Do we have an update on these miles? 🤣 I’m thinking about switching from my Jeep Grand Cherokee to a is350 possibly Fsport. Something used but I want to know how many miles I can put in one of these considering I drive 100+ miles a day 5 days a week for work.

350's are the reliable workhorse model. Can't really go wrong with one, even with high miles. Easy to work on, easy to repair.

You gotta be leaving your paycheck at the gas station clocking 100+ miles a day on a Jeep.

Is taking vehicle to Lexus dealership to perform the transmission fluid service considered a "fluid replacement" (IS350 RWD: 7.9L trans fluid), if using a fluid exchange machine to perform the exchange?
Has been suggested it is still considered a drain and fill, as stated in reply #14 located here;

222,500 and climbing. 2008 IS350

I bought it in 2014 and it only had 11k miles on it.

It's my daily and I drive a lot. I love how the car looks, handles, and its reliability. And for a car that wasn't meant to be quick/fast it does really well all things considered.

Mods so far:
F-Sport exhaust
F-Sport springs and shocks
F-Sport chassis brace
F-Sport sway bars
F-Sport intake (lower box and filter)
2012 ISF power steering computer
RR Racing lower control arm bushings
Megan Racing lower front chassis brace
Slotted rotors with Akebono ceramic pads
Polyurethane steering rack bushing

Next mod is the RR Racing ECU. Would love to get a Megan racing mid-pipe for it if anybody knows where I can get one (out of stock). I would consider buying a used one.
