Default Spark Plugs 2006 IS250 RWD

I changed the spark plugs today for my 2006 IS250. Lexus changed the spark plugs twice in the car's history, this is now the 3rd set that I did myself. Two things I wanted advice on from you guys:

1. The spark plugs seem to have been in good condition and it seemed to unscrew very easily almost as if Lexus didn't tighten it enough. Also a few of them had small amount of oil on them and a very little residue on the coil. Just wondering if this is something of concern or could it be that the spark plugs were not tight enough?
2. Finally, on the easy side of the V engine near the intake pipe, i managed to stupidly break a tab on one of the coil wiring connector. As the entire harness is held in place by two extra nuts even though the tab is broken the wiring connector still seems to snugly fit in the socket and doesnt seem like it will com off. Anyone had this issue? Will the connector be fine or is there something I can put to hold it in place to prevent it from slipping out?

1 - its probably because it wasnt tight enough or your gasket is loose/not there. its not a major concern but should be fixed.

2 - if you only broke one, it should be fine. youll know if it becomes a problem because youll have cylinder misfires. your car could rough idle and perhaps some codes pop up. then you car will become a v5. nothing major, if problems do come up, just simply buy 1 new coil boot and replace the broken tab one.

With the broken clips, didn't you think about using duct tape?

Just place the broken clips on the connector, and put small amount of tape around it.

I've tightened the spark plugs to about 14.5 ft-lb The new spark plugs come with some metal crush washers. When you say it might be loose or missing gasket, can I ask which gasket you are referring to? When I take the coil out there is rubber ring that seals the coil, there is no other gaskets that I can see.

the metal crush gasket should be fine. 14.5 torque is kinda on the low end. I always recommend or do 15-17.

Also, DO NOT duct tape your coil boot. Duct tape isn't fire proof and permanently still. There's a lot of air going through your hood and if duct tape blows off and goes somewhere it shouldn't... big problems.

Plus, that's ghetto lol
