I have a 2007 IS 250 and my car is not reading my TPMS sensors. I recently replaced 4 of my TPMS sensors, and both of my antennas (FR and RL). When I was getting new tires the tech showed me where he was reading the sensors and they were outputting on the correct frequency but he could not get the receiver to recognize the sensors. My car wasn't throwing any codes when the tech checked it. Is there any way to tell if my TPMS ECU has gone bad with out just pulling it out and installing a new one and then having the TPMS sensors reprogrammed?

including spare tires if it has TPMS. Then connect the tool to OBD II port to relearn the new TPMS ids.. Or use Tech Stream.

I helped out another Member here on his IS that was having a similar issue. On his the issue was that after the shop relearned the sensors to the ECU they would tell him to drive it till the light turned off and it never would. There is an easier way. After the shop scans all the sensors and relearns the ECU without turning the key off they need to rescan each sensor again. Left front, right front, right rear and left rear. If the shop is having trouble where the ECU is not allowing the scan tool to enter the ID’s acting like it’s not plugged in the ECU went into a closed loop and they will need a tool that will do the Toyota/ Lexus ECU reset and then enter the sensors into the ECU.

I bought 4 cheap aftermarket ones for $36
I have techstream but couldnt get it programmed that way, connection issue maybe was a cheap VCI connector.
I wound up buying the Autel Maxi TS 501 programmer and did it my self with the relearn procedure.
