I have a 2007 is250 RWD. 2016 F sport staggered wheels. on the front 18x8 which would be better, a 225/40/18 or 235/40/18. I am not lowering my car, and prefer a meaty tire. Id like the side wall to be somewhat flush. i currently have 215/40/18 and Its not enough tire. What do you guys recommend? pics of yours would be appreciated.

Depending on what kind of tires you prefer on your car. Summer Performance tires tend to have stiffer sidewalls, and while improving handling they reduce comfort at the same time.
They also have more of the squarish look and have bigger tread width.
All season tires are less square (or more rounded) will have a smaller tread width, with that in mind will give a little more clearance and more comfort.
I myself prefer so called "Touring Tires" or "All Season Performance Tires" produced for luxurious vehicles which are somewhat a combination of comfort and performance with no harm to your back, minus the hefty price tag.
Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06, Continental ContiProContact, Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus, Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus, Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season, Michelin Premier A/S just to name the few. If you prefer a meaty tire then go with 235/40/18.
You can see how 225/40 look like here:

I'm also debating whether to go with 225 or 235 also. From what I have seen the 235 definitely would work our IS, however the improvement in terms of beefy tire is very little. I used a tire calculator and its a .2 inches thicker sidewall. and .3 inches overall diameter. The pro of have a 235 over 225 is probably you gain more traction from the slightly wider tires. This is just my opinion. If the price is close for the 235 or 225 I would def go with 235 however for me the hankook v12 ventus evo2 price difference is slightly more than i would like.
