Check your charging system: alternator and battery. The P/S going out or acting strangely first has at least happened to a couple guys I've read about.

Replace alternator and recharge the battery OR just get a new battery at the same time.

+1 on all the above already said. If you have an OHM meter. You can check the alternator if doing it’s job. Check voltage on DC volts of course at the battery. While the car is on.

This happened to me last week and they replaced my PS control unit.. $1100. 😅
