Hi guys! I am the happy owner of a 2008 IS220D and I must say I am so happy with the car after 1 month of ownership but I do have one issue regarding the shifter and the shifting experience. First of all, it has a lot of play when in gear and also when in reverse it makes a weird squeaky noise and I feel that the the spacing between gears is so long compared to my dad's 2008 Audi A6. Do you think that a short throw shifter might solve these issues and if so, do you know someone in the community that has done this?

Short shifter makes the world of difference, however they have been discontinued so good luck finding one

What do you mean by "discontinued"? Aren't there any suppliers that will make the kit for the IS220?

None currently that I am aware of. The only one that I know existed was the one Lexus USA sold (F-Sport Quickshifter), however it is no longer in production and all stock has been depleted in the USA and Canada.

When those were still availabe the price for europe customers with shipping and taxes was about 500usd, did not pull the trigger.
If someone could make identical part I would def buy it.
