Hey all,
Looking for some guidance. I have a 2006 IS250 AWD. The front passenger door does not open from the inside or outside. it sounds like the lock mechanism is working, I can "unlock" the door keylessly from the outside. The problem is that both door handles will not open the door. I suspect something is broken with the handle mechanism and would like to take a look by taking the door panel off - but I can't open the door!
What to do? Who to call? Is this something a locksmith should tackle?
TIA

Thanks for the reply, I'd love to tackle it myself just need to get the door opened. Figured there would be some mobile service to jimmy the door open?

The locksmith undoes the lock. Your locks work fine. More than likely, it's either a part for the door latch mechanism is broke or got disconnected.
You may find a local shop will be nice and just tell you how they do deal with it. Other than that, there's got to be something online. I'm sure that's a forum on it. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a YouTube video on it.

There's plenty of you tube videos on this but they all consist of how to remove the door panel while the door is stuck closed on various different makes/models of vehicles. I've seen videos on how to remove an IS250 panel when the door is open and can't fathom it being possible when it's in the closed position.
Stumped as to how I'm going to get the door open.

Dunno if this is even applicable, but it's worth a look-see.

Update...
I was able to pry the door panel off from the top that gave me access to the handle and the actuator. The cables were in tact so the issue must be with the actuator itself. I can't seem to open up the actuator to manually activate the latch, it's a super tight fit for my fat little hands. It was a struggle up until this point so I threw in the towel for the day. Will get back at it and figure something out.
