Recently had my car taken apart to replace a rear quarter. Well just noticed the trunk won't open with keyless entry. By that I mean, I can't walk up to the trunk with my FOB and open it with the button on the trunk.
I narrowed it down to the trunk area is no longer recognizing my fob, but I don't know where the computer or receiver is in the trunk that allows me to unlock it/prevent locking my FOB in my trunk. I am basically looking for the location of the proximity sensor that recognizes my key fob when I try to open the truck. Or another possible reason it isn't letting me open the trunk.
PS: I can open trunk using both the button inside the car and the button on the key fob. Also I checked and the valet button is not the problem.
Thanks DryEye! I located the inside sensor (picture attached what it looks like). However I am unable to take apart the bumper at this time.
If someone can confirm the second (outer) sensor is located in the bumper that would be great!
