I just stuck it up there to check so shes not mounted yet. But I think thats all it is. Unless the body guy does it differently. Up to him really. But I had low expectations when I bought the lip so they are easily succeeded.
The painted versions are...you can still find some colors online via some overstock OEM parts places. Lexus replaced the P/N for all of the factory painted ones with an OEM crash replacement non painted number. Cost is still same or more than what the painted versions used to go for.
If anyone got these back in the day from Sewell or Lexus of Westminster, they got the deal. I got my GFX front lip and sides from Sewell for less than $180, never used the lip and just sold it brand new unused to a local guy for $250.
My install 10 years ago...had to add the red 3M tape to areas that I removed the screws and tabs Exhaust cutout, supposed to be cut but I wedged it in. Added an extra screw and nut to keep the lip on bumper from dropping.
I got the rear lip from Westminster for like $150 painted (202/212) black like 10 years ago. With OEM rear lip, they require cutting of bumper around exhaust and cutting slits for the tabs. I didn't use any of that and just used the 3M tape and wedged the lip into the exhaust opening. Its held up for 10 years with minor lifting of the tape around the curve.
08150-53840 Sides, painted (lots of overstock online in various colors). Probably not in high demand since the sides look almost like original to untrained eye.
Mine is still in the box. I’ve been worried that if I paint it while it gets cold that the paint won’t have time to properly adhere fully. Just a weird way of thinking I guess. But soon. Thanks for posting those install pics.
Dropped it off with my painter today. Pretty excited. Get this installed, rear CF canards and my work CRs and move on to more suspension goodies to firm up handling. Ill post pics when I have it mounted up.
