'09 IS250 HID Headlights reputable vendors or sources
Good morning Guys,
this is my first post on the forums, I am glad to be part of this great Lexus Community, i just purchased my first Lexus it's an '09 IS 250 really low on miles and awesome condition, No what it is not on a great shape are the headlights and Fog lights, those as it is to expect are yellow and really in bad shape, i am trying to bump'em up but i have decided to buy them all new, the issue i am having is that every vendor online sells for the regular Halogens models my IS250 is the one that comes with the HIDs and i am having a really hard time finding the headlights that satisfy my model and fits the vehicle, Almost all vendors ( i have not gone to the dealership since i do not want stock headlights) dont give me the options for the HId model and lots of them have disclaimers advising "NOT FOR HID OEM model".
Can anyone provide a reliable source of a vendor where i can buy them for my model. Thank you all in advance.

You will most likely have to buy an aftermarket set and open them to retrofit HID or LED projectors. Keeping side to side AFS and or auto level will probably go away since everyone pulls AFS fuse. You can go aftermarket replacement but still like $1k per set loaded with ballast.
I’m gonna do the 2011+ aftermarket LED DRL OE replacements in halogen and retrofit LED projectors in. Should be starting it next month. I plan to rig the AFS side side motors and keep auto level.

I'm also trying to find out if I can switch from hid to halogen on my 09 IS250. Does anyone know if there is a compatible wire harnesses to change to the halogen assembly? I just want to know if it's possible or would it cause a lot of issues??

MODs I think its time for a "Headlights" Sticky (if there isn't already one that is obvious)...seems like there are new threads daily on headlights, LEDs bulbs, HID bulbs, etc.

^ yeah we definitely need a lighting thread, but the DEPO thread is a little too specific to just that model. Aftermarket headlight companies like 78 works, Spec D, Spyder, and DEPO are all halogen but you can get an HID kit to either retrofit new projectors or you can just swap in some HID bulbs and ballasts. Xenon Depot is great for LED/HID kits like their Volt HID kit. If you're after something like a retrofit I'd probably suggest The Retrofit Source or Headlight Revolution

There are aftermarket OE style headlights for HID and AFS. TYC and Depo both make them.
TYC on eBay:https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F272705117955
This one said TYC/DEPO, not sure if they come from the same factory. https://www.go-parts.com/lx2518124-2...iver-side.html
You can filter them by price when searching. HID version usually cost over $400 a piece.
