Default Head Light upgrade

My wife has a 2008 IS250 non HID. Which kit would i need to order? Im confused between the regular H11 kit and the H11 bulbs with an "L shaped" base from Kensun. Thanks.

junglechkn - wrong forum - but look here http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-automo...lbs-s/1047.htm

I would think all H11 bulbs have the same base as that is what part of makes them H11 as opposed to H9 for instance which will fit into the H11 socket with a little modification. All the Halogen and LED ones seem to be the same shape at xenon depot.

Hey there, just saw this post today.

Many halogen bulbs have the L-shaped 90-degree-angle bases like what the OP described, and some companies produce HIDs with the same shape. For us, our H11 Philips 4300K rebased HID bulbs have the L-shaped bases, but the vast majority of our H11 bulb stock has the straight back bases. For an HID kit the shape of the base is usually not important, as they both take up about the same amount of space, and the connection into the vehicle's OEM headlight wiring is going to be made by a separate connector, rather than directly from the base of the bulb itself.

Hope this helps to clarify a bit,

~Robert
