Need your guys opinion. New to me 07 is350, 120K miles, car is located in South Florida, good weather year around.

I'm planning on using 5w20, Amsoil synthetic. Not sure what is currently in there. Should I be concerned with oil leaks caused by 5w20 thin oil viscosity with such mileage??

Input from FL is350 owners with +100k miles appreciated.

It's been covered many times. Just stick to what the cap says. 5w-30 especially in Florida hot weather. It's not really going to make a difference.

Use 5w-30

only thing is to use FULL SYNTHETIC.


oil makes little to no improvements on performance.

I use AMSOIL 5W-30 signature series (100% Synthetic) in my 2008 IS 350 up here in Canada with no issues. My car has 68000K Miles. They say this is one of the best synthetic oil out there.
