gas pump keeps clicking...cant fill up full tank it keeps stopping

last 3 Times I have gotten gas, it keeps clicking and won’t let me fill up all the way. I went to 2 different chevron, then today I went to arco and did the same thing.

My GS400 has had this issue from time to time for over ten years. I simply move the pump nozzle sometimes toward one side or the other, other times I will pull it outwards just a bit. This almost always fixes the problem and often the problem just goes away. When it comes back I try my routine again and all is good. I find this a minor nuisance and not something I would take to the dealer to fix (unless my car was still under warranty).
