Currently, I have a 2012 IS250 that came with halogens headlights. I know that for my year the led DRL was a luxury option that my car didn't come with. I was wondering if I buy the OEM led headlights would it be a direct plug in or do I need to modify it like it has to be done with the 2006-2010 models?

See the "Depo Headlights" thread that I have been posting all my findings on.
Cars with this oem led drl need it enabled vs doing a hack.
Software enable shown here:
all 2IS coome with that setting active. The 2006-2010 use the lower voltage high beam as DRL. Same for 2011-2013 non-HID that use the same old style headlights. The 2011+HID LED DRL use different wiring. You can probably setup a relay to use the stock DRL signal due to lower voltage circuit. Else you have to us a power source that is active when engine is running.
