I'm replacing tires on my car and I'm thinking of getting 265/35/18s on the rear. The diameter is .7in less than the 255/40 so will bump revs a bit. Tire weight about the same.
Anyone running 265/35/18s?

I ran 265/30 in the back when I had 19s and it was fine on my 19x9.5 +42 wheel, lowered on H&R springs, no fender modding necessary.
the .7 inch difference is very negligible as different tire manufactures vary in tire size even between same sizes.
in other words not all tire sizing runs true.
for example a 225/40/18 Michelin may have a slightly thicker sidewall than say a 225/40/18 Hankook - same 40-series tire but may still have some height differences based on design.

I am running 265/35/18 Michelin PSS on the stock rear wheels with no issues and no rubbing with stock shocks/springs and Fsport sway bars. I'm considering 275s for my next set of rear tires.

Some sidewalls may be more square.
