Default Recommend me an oil catch can

Recently bought a 250 a week ago and have been trying to read more about this carbon build up problem that the 250 has. For those of you who have installed a catch can, what's a good one that you would recommend? There seems to be a mixed review from members here about avoiding ones from eBay and going with one that is a better brand. What should I be looking for in an oil catch can? Which one should I avoid?

Thanks in advance!

I personally use a Mishimoto Baffled 2 Port Oil Catch can. Not sure what tips to give you when looking for one... some people have gotten away with using the eBay catch cans.

Have you thought about just venting to the outside and topping up the oil when needed? A hose from the PVC can be run down the firewall to vent the oil under the car. The other hose that runs to the manifold could just be plugged unless you feel the vacuum is required, in that case you could just put a small air filter on it.

^^^^That's how they used to do it when no one thought about air quality. It's environmentally unfriendly and illegal. I've attached a pict of the 1954 Ford V8 that shows the road draft tube.

Now imagine what would happen if everyone started doing the same thing

Thanks. Would you be able to give me a link to where you got yours?

I use ADD W1 baffled oil catch can. There’s plenty of sellers on eBay have them. Works great.
It caught some muddy gunk around first 2k miles (my car had 109k miles at that time and has no carbon buildup recall), since then there’s only normal oil.

I also dropped a tea filter mesh in the baffle and a stainless steel scouting pad in the can.

Sleeperlod: Yes, that one. It was $71.99 when I bought it, I guess the price went up for some reason.
I bought that one because the inlet/outlet are facing the same direction, and they're not facing up. But any model with proper baffle inside should work.

This is the filter I got, it fits into ADD W1 perfectly:

If the link went down just search "1.25" tobacco screens"
