Arrow Remote Low Battery Warning * After Installing New Battery! *

Hi All,

Just like my title states - I began to get the low battery warning for the remote. So I changed the batteries on both of my remotes with new batteries purchased at a local walmart. I specifically picked walmart because they are always busy so if figured there is an excellent chance their battery stock is always being replenished. Either way, both of my remotes are working perfectly but I still am getting the low battery warning on the dashboard (no matter which remote I use).

I did some forum search's but did not come up with anything. Does anyone have any good info before I buy new batteries again.

Clean the battery contacts in the remote. Isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip. Report back.

You can also spin the battery a few times every 3mo. And I would suggest you use a volt meter to verify new battery is >3.0 volts.

Try unlocking, and starting the car with one for at a time. Leaving the other out of reach of the car.

I'll clean the contacts and put my meter on the batteries - thanks.

PS - this is on a 2012 IS-F.

The secondary fob is usually far away locked in a safe. The primary fob was put in the safe when I tried swapping fobs for a day - thanks.

I went out and purchased another set of batteries. I forgot what they were (I think Panasonics) but purposely different than the first set of batteries. No problems any more.

I'm a year out on set of batteries. After cleaning them. Something silly but fingerprints with our oils and acids attack the metals. After cleaning try not to touch the contacts or batteries during installation.
