I looked through some old forms and couldnt seem to find what I was looking for. I have a 07 is250 awd that I use as my winter car, I recently took a bit of a road trip with it and along the way (while driving) my afs off light came on and started to flash. It goes out after a good 10 mins of driving but would come back on every 50 miles or so. After it first came on and started flashing I pulled off to a rest area and noticed my passenger side light was out(low beam only) I tried many times to turn the lights on and off, turned the afs system off, but had to luck getting my head light back on. I figured the bulb blew so I found a auto store that carried the Bulb. However when I got to the auto store I noticed my light was now working. I then shut the lights off and back on and the light would not come back on. I figured the bulb was nearing its life so I bought the new bulb and installed it. The light still didn’t work when turning the lights on. I put the old bulb back in and returned the new bulb. After getting back on the road and the afs light still going off on the headlight still wasn’t working. After about 150 miles I hit a bump rather hard and noticed the light came back on and was working fine(afs light still coming on) after another 100 miles or so the light was still working I had to refuel and shut the car off and the lights worked fine again no issue. Now again a day later I turn the car on and the headlight will not come back on. I’m trying to figure the problem out without going to the dealer. Is my light not working because of the afs system failing? Has anyone else had a similar problem that was a cheap or easy fix? Or am I stuck going to the dealer? Just cracked 160k Miles
