Questions about used IS250
Hello everyone,
Today I finally bought an IS250 (2008, 83k km), and I figured I'd join the forums and get involved in the community! My 250 is in pretty nice condition, breakwater blue exterior, black interior, AWD, and Automatic (roast me later about that lol). Anyway, I have some nooby questions in mind and I figure I'd ask the pros.
1. While test driving, and driving off the lot, I noticed that there is some travel in pressing the gas to get the car moving (e-break off aswell). I am wondering if there is anyway to reduce the travel distance on the accelerator? It seems like for the first couple centimeters there is barely any opening in the throttle body, but directly after this "zone" you can feel it start to open up. I don't really mind this, but I am used to a lot less travel in the accelerator and getting almost instant power...
2. I know the 250s take premium gas, but I don't know what the previous owner was filling it up with. Should I be worried that there isn't premium gas in the car, and when I do put my own premium gas it won't mix well with the regular stuff? Probably a stupid question, but I am just curious...
Thanks, can't wait to hear your responses!

I've driven 2 250's and don't recall the long travel. My 350 is alive the moment the pedal moves.
You might run some fuel system cleaner through it, tho it won't help the intake and pull a battery cable. The ECM will adapt to your habbits quicker.
The fuel mixing is not an issue and it will make the best power output on higher octane fuel as the ECM can advance the ignition timing more.
