Question Rubbing sound when going downhill

When I drive downhill (regardless if im breaking or not/applying throttle or not) and sometimes uphill, there is this rubbing type sound coming from the front of the vehicle (08 is250 rwd). Not sure what could be causing it. I'm on s techs but i've had this issue before i had them on. I've taken a look at my shocks and one of my rears is leaking. I'm thinking that since it's leaking, its putting more wear on my other shocks. Hence when i go downhill, it may be caused by all that support having to come from the front. I'm not sure if that is the right conclusion though. I plan on replacing both rear shocks anyways with fsports, however in the meantime, do yall have any idea what could be causing this noise? Ill try to upload a audio file soon.

Could it be your tires hitting the wheel well?

Car been to service lately? Someone may have rotated the rears to the front (assuming you're running the oem staggered sizes). I can't imagine a leaking strut would cause that, especially with the rear one leaking even if you're lowered. On that note, I'd suggest getting that replaced.

I'm not running a staggered set. Just 18x8 all around.

ya then not your tires. I was thinking maybe you had wrong size tires. But if their factory then definitely not it.

Something about that DownHill. That seemed to be a keyword for me. I think your speculation of the Front of the car is taking the stress or Force causing the sound may be correct. One time I went down a super steep hill that when the car attempted to change gears, it made a whinding noise or a rubbing noise. Sounded close to the front tires. Like the downhill force made the car Act Eratic for a moment. Like it weas trying to adjust sensors to accomidate the steep dip or downhill i was on. Once the rear shocks fsports are put on, I'd like to know what were the conclusions. Maybe we both can try Reversing back up the hill. haha See if it makes that sound lol
