Rear spoiler tape
Anyone know offhand what width of 3m tape to use for the factory rear spoiler?
The factory tape on one side of my ‘07 has started lifting and want to fully attach it again.

I think mine was 1/4 or so. Maybe 1/2” Not terribly wide .

Oem has bolts. Even my ikon rep had threaded nuts on the underside to mount it like oem:-)

I simply used the factory double sided tape to attach it and it never came off!
of course clean the surfaces prior to adhesion.
I've had success with 3M 20lb tape (has a red colored backing) with body work in the past and held up great.
again it's all in the install, cleanliness, etc.

when I installed my OEM rear spoiler back when you could buy them new, I didn't want to drill holes so I removed the studs off them (quite easily iirc).

Sounds good. I’ve a few sizes of 3m tape but all out of 1/2” so I’ll order some. Planning to just unbolt it and remove all the factory tape and redo it.
