Tire size fitment (235/45 and 245/45 and 255/45)
Hey everyone,
I own Lexus IS250 with OEM wheels: front 18x8 and back 18x8.5
I know that I can fit to the back 245/45 with no problem. However I was wonder if of 2 options below I would be able to achieve good setup.
1st OPTION. Front 235/45 and back 245/45
2nd OPTION. Front 245/45 and back 255/45
If both setups are bad, let me know the reason for it (for example does not fit or grinds on turns)
P.s. I am specifically trying to fit x/45 tires. I saw few threads about x/40, however they do not answer my question.

factory tires are 225/40 and 255/40...why so adamant about sticking to 45-series? ride quality is very negligible between them.
235/45 up front is too meaty and will scrub, better stick to 225/45 if you absolutely have to go with 45-series tires.
245/45 out back is fine. going 255/45 is too meaty like the front.
use this to help you assess: https://tiresize.com/calculator/
remember series of the tire is a percentage of the cross-section, so 225/45 means that 45 is the sidewall percentage of 225.

Hey @ ZailiaMesa did you ever install the 235/45 tires on your IS? Any issues at all?!
I’m trying to currently install the same size on my 09 IS250 just because I feel 40” is too thin..
