Default Rear door / quarter panel gap

So my is250 has slightly smaller gaps between the door and the wheel well / lower quarter panel, than the door and the upper quarter panel. I'm refrencing the back of the rear doors. Is this normal for these gaps, or should they be absolutely identical all the way down the doors?

From the factory, yes...all of the gapping should be about the same. But over the years, the chassis will flex and heavier parts will sag. Oh, not to mention accident and pothole damages. Everything will over time affect your gapping.

lexus received an award for most consistent panel gaps, so yes they should be even across. could be something is misaligned on your end...

Default Thanks!

What I figured! Both sides have the exact same issue. Slightly more narrow towards the big curve on the door, where it passes in front of the wheel well. I though maybe it had to do with the shape of the door , and that Lexus did that intentionally. I guess not. Thank you giys!

Post picture. Maybe throw something in the narrow gap and move it to the open gap. How much are you talking about?
