OEM

If youre replacing spark plugs, replace all 6 of them. Also, you might as well replace the coil boots too. You can get all of these at Autozone.

6 x denso spark plugs
6 x NGK coil boots

I replaced all spark plugs on my is250 2008, but I'm getting intake manifold position sensor error. Could somebody, pls, point me to the location of the sensor/connectors, etc. The car runs really well after the replacement, but can't get rid of check engine light and error code. Also, I noticed oil sipping through the connector on the semi-clear box on the intake manifold.

Disconnect the battery and remove and inspect the connection at the TPS. Look for burns, discoloration growth or pin damage. Reseat the connector.

Please post the actual error code. You did say it seems to behave normal or ???? This code could be cabin side vs engine side. Perhaps inspect the cable and connector at the throttle pedal too. When done....

Ignition on, engine off; press the throttle to floor in a smooth and consistent manner and release it at the same linear rate 2x swiftly.

Repeat at slower depression rate taking 10 sec to get to the floor. Release at the same rate. Do this 2x and once the pedal is up, turn off the ignition. Turn on ignition and clear the pedal position error. Test drive....

If the engine ever jumps to a high rpm, be prepared to slip trans into neutral and turn off engine.

OEM. And don't tighten too tight. My friend stripped his threads by over tightening. Too much steroids.

Thanks - I'll try it an let you know if it worked - I did try depressing the gas pedal, but not in a systematic way you described. The car does drive well - smooth, the idle rpm doesn't fluctuate. The only odd thing I noticed (and that's why I decided to change spark plugs was the drop in gas mileage - instead of 19-20, I get only 16-17 mpg.

The actual error code is P2017 reported by 232. Initially I would get P0120 reported by 232 which went away after I checked connectors and erased codes. BTW, the display reads: VSC. I suspect that it has something to do with the vacuum system, which might be harder to track down.

Well that certainly steers us in a new direction and explains why there are no obvious driveability complaints. Looking in the wrong place! Glad I asked for the actual code.

You see the post above?

The "Check VSC" indication is displayed ANYTIME the check engine light is on. It comes on because the car disables stability control whenever the CEL light is on, and likely has nothing to do with your problem.
