Ok. So last night after work I did the procedure listed. I did it on cold soaked engine. The initial rpm dropped to probably 7-800 rpms. Held the brake for 6 mins. Did the N, shut engine off park and restart. Upon initial restart the RPMs held at about 1100. Then drove home the rpms stabilized back to normal.

Test driving spirited on the way. The pedal feels a little stiffer. The throttle response is more linear. Like it's actually moving the car as you press it. Normally the pedal response was "loose" feeling. As like when you put an intake more noise but the car ain't moving to match the noise.

Previously I picked up this car about 5000k miles ago. Cleaned the TB which wasn't really bad for the mileage. Though the MAF was full of crud. I've never seen one that dirty in all the used cars I've purchased.

I did replace it during the last 6 months.


As for the procedure. I still want to know if it's official from Lexus/Toyota. Does it even exist officially?
