***2010 is 250 no sound***
Hi,
Recently I've had the misfortune of having no sound out of my IS 250. I'm not able to use the volume button, (seems to be in a limp mode) and when the car starts I hear two scratching noises out of the driver's front door speaker. I've read that this is a common issue and it is because of the amp. I've checked all the fuses, which seem to be fine, any suggestions? Also if it is the amp, do you think it would be worth it to repair it or buy an aftermarket amp with all the wiring?
Thanks

2008 IS350 here Non-ML. I had some tapping noises on my driver's front door speakers. Two taps whenever the car would turn on or when the radio would turn on. If you are able to still control the radio and volume controls but just hear no sound then it's most likely your amp. I went to the junk yard and found myself one and now everything is working fine again.

My 08 had the same problem. Kept cutting in and out and would come back on randomly. I sold the car before getting around to finding or fixing the issue. Would love to see if anyone ended up finding out what the exact problem was.

*AMP Finally Repaired*
After doing some research, I sent the amp out to repair to United Radio. The service was great and the turn around time wasn't too bad neither. In total I paid $27 CDN to ship the amp to them, $300 US for the repair and $40 US for the shipping cost back to Canada. Overall less than $500 compared to buying a brand new one for over $1300. Highly recommend United Radio.
