Spare tire IS 250 2007

What is is spare tire? Is it the same as a regular tire?

The spare tire is in the trunk. You might want to try look underneath that panel once in a while to make sure the tire is inflated and all your tire tools are there

No, it is not the same as a regular tire. A spare tire is typically a smaller tire that fits in the trunk (check underneath the felt panels). It is used to temporarily replace a damaged tire. Also not recommended to go at high speeds with a spare tire on, ~50mph.

Technically you can have any tire/wheel as a spare, as long as it fits onto your car. (e.g. buy a set of 5 wheels and use 1 as a spare, repair/replace the damaged tire and leave the newly fixed tire as your spare)
