Default My car isn’t responding to the key

I just got new lights in my car the day before and it was working fine. But this morning as I’m walking to the car I noticed the lights under the mirrors weren’t turning on and come to find out the car didn’t unlock either. Plus my key isn’t even fitting when I tried to do it manually so now I’m stuck, I'm thinking the battery is dead or is bad but at this point I don't even know how to even get in the car.

You try the passenger door handle?
Key to the trunk?

After that its locksmith time and/or take the VIN to lexus and have a key cut. You'd think the door or trunk would let you in as its unlikely both were swapped. Well unless your key doesn't actually belong to that car.
