Mines a 2007 IS350. Over the years my keyfob remote control range has been getting lower and lower. Now I have to be 3 feet of my car for it to sense it. Sometimes it doesn't even sense it when I'm 1 foot in front of my car. I'm thinking my remote key receiver is breaking. I do know that the remote receiving is behind the rear bumper.
Found one on ebay for like $185.00.

When I bout my car in 2011, the range was at least 20 feet. Anyone have any inputs?

Urban legend that is actually true, try holding the fob under your chin and or close to your body
rather than holding at arms length when you press the button(s). Apparently this posture allows
a bit of reflection off of you similar to an satellite dish. As I have already had my children I am not
worried about the possible effects of this radiation...LOL... BTW, the remote range is published as
being 80 feet.
