Another car starts, dies, then refuses to start
Car is a 2008 Is 250 AWD with 116000 miles. New battery, grounds look good, and I hear fuel pump and full tank. I press the button and the car starts but then dies right away. After this, I can't get the car to start for the rest of the day. Next day, it will repeat, with crank, start and then die and will not repeat for the rest of the day. All fuses look okay. Not sure where to start.
I did replace the plugs recently so the plenum had been removed and replaced. Any input would be appreciated.

If this was not present before, go back and check your work. Undo every connector touched and listen for that crisp CLICK when it seated.
Check all vacuum lines. Tho this should not impact cranking, more so idle and/or the ability to start but it should crank regardless.
Check the things you didnt touch like the fuel pressure sensor. These seem to become fragile with age whereby the sensor or connection fails disabling the start sequence.
Any CEL?

I do get the Check VSC
For a month leading up to this, I was seeing the car die but I was able to either start it right away or after no more than a minute or so. Could this be part of the security system and some kind of immobilization? I would think that it would not even enable the starter but that fact that,,after a period of time, the starter enables again, it's showing itself as having some kind of timeout.
The start button goes green when pressing the brake. I'm not throwing any codes for my reader to see.
Thinking it was security related I've tried disconnecting the battery to reset, replacing the battery in my fob. Heck, I even got it a new gas cap (read that somewhere). I've tried the multiple key turns in the door. Am I missing any magic here?
This weekend I'll retrace my steps in the plug change and hope for connection or vacuum line disconnect.

Fuel pressure sensor most likely. The car goes into a sort of safety mode where no codes will be able to be read via the OBD port. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...lp-asap-2.html
Unplug the sensor and see if it starts next time it won't let you start it. If it starts right up, you need to replace the sensor.
