How to remove drive shafts from differential is250
Hi I was trying to drop the differential out of my 2007 rwd lexus is250 but could not get the 2 driveshafts out of the differential. Do I need to undo the axle from the hub or is there a way of dropping the differential without pulling the driveshafts from the hubs. Thanks

Unbolt the control arm and toe link from the hub on at least one side, tho both may be easier. Then use two prybars spaced 180° apart and simultaneously pop the drive flange from the diff. The inner joint/drive flange is a trunion and will pull apart inside the boot if it is is not free of the diff so don't pull on the axle itself, just the drive flange.
Keep an eye on the ABS wheel sensor cable when pushing the hub away and don't damage it.
You dropping an LSD in or what's the plan?

Yea i got the diff installed have about 2000 miles on it no issues. Im not really sure why it could be leaking apart from that seal unless you have a sharp bur on the shaft that is tearing the seals?
