Is it worth the headlight difference to buy a 2011 and up IS over a 2010?

I want to get the wife a IS C. I see the 2010's are less expensive and wondered if I could upgrade the headlights myself. Wasn't there also another difference between the 2010 and 2011 on up models?

You'll pay close to $1000 per headlight if your buying them and installing yourself. 2011 is the first year that they offered the LED headlights. I bought the LED headlights and installed them myself, however the set that I bought were re-pinned to work with my 2010. So its much easier to buy the 2011 and not have to remove your bumper, re-pin the headlights yourself. There are also plenty of aftermarket headlights available now that weren't available before - most of them still look decent as well compared to OEM.

How big of a price difference? I wouldn’t let headlights prevent me from saving 2,000 or so dollars for example.

I think for that kind of cost we will just leave the original headlights alone... I would rather spend the money on buying the same size tires and rims so we can rotate the tires.
